| The big event for the year was Matt and our niece Lisa's wedding in June. It was a great event. The year 2007 also saw a variety of trips to other countrys. In January we attended the DICE meeting in Rome and went on to Amsterdam to visit with the SURFnet and University of Amsterdam folks. In April and May, we had trips to Abuja, Nigeria and Copenhagen, Denmark. In September we visited Prague, Czech Repulic for the GLIF (and DICE control plane) meetings. Along the way were trips to Berkeley to visit the ESnet folks, to Washington, DC for the Internet2 Spring member meeting, to Reno for the Super Computing 2007 meeting, and to San Francisco for a DICE control plane meeting. Family visits included our grandson Nolan's fourth birthday party, Thanksgiving in Chicago, and of course, Christmas in Girard and Chicago. Pictures of the dogs and the variety of wildlife that come to visit us at our country home are also included, along with our usual viewing of the July 4th fireworks from our front porch. |
